Rivertowne County Club And Golf Course Community
Rivertowne Country Club is located in the town of Mt. Pleasant, SC, an award winning town located just a short distance from the Charleston Historic District and the beaches of the Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. Rivertowne Country was named the 2004 South Carolina Golf Course Of The Year by the South Carolina Golf Course Owners Association. The 18-hole par 72 layout is 6679 yards in length. 13 of the holes wind along the Wando River and Horlbeck Creek. Rivertowne Country Club received a 4.5 star rating in Golf Digest's Place To Play in 2005.
On July 17, 2006, Ginn Sports Entertainment LLC announced that the Ginn Clubs and Resorts would stage it's second LPGA tournament, hosted by Annika Sorenstam, at Rivertowne Country Club on May 31 - June 3, 2007. The $2.6 million dollar tournament was televised nationally.
Rivertowne Country Club is considered by many to be one of the premier golf course communities in the Charleston area. As you can see by these photos taken on November 25, 2006, that the course is in fabulous condition and is kept so throughout the year.
The initiation fee for a family membership is $15,000 and individual membership is $10,000.
