Rivertowne on the Wando is a waterfront community located in the town of Mt. Pleasant off of highway 41. It is adjacent to Rivertowne Country Club, but is seperate and distinct with two community docks on the Wando River, swimming pool, tennis courts and play park. The community consists of single family custom and "tract built" homes built in a "low country" style. D.R. Horton built a number of medium priced homes in the neighborhood, some of which are on crawl space and others raised with parking under. The larger custom built homes are located towards the rear of the community. Some have their own private docks on the Wando River, some have a "dedicated" boat slip for their owners and others are on interior lots. The waterfront homes have spectacular views of the Wando and the setting sun and grant the home owners direct access to some of the best fishing in the area. Rivertowne on the Wando is conveniently located to Interstate 26 and 526 as well as the Mt. Pleasant town center, the Isle of Palms beach, Wando High school and the planned Carolina Park and Roper Hospital.
If you are looking for a deepwater lot or home in the Charleston area, Rivertowne may be just right for you. Recently, I was able to locate just the right home to suit the needs of one of my out of town clients. View photos to see why this well traveled businessman is about to move into his second "dream home" in Rivertowne On The Wando.
The above deepwater home sold on May 5, 2008 for $950,000. It came with it's own boat slip just steps away. It is a buyer's market at the present time in Charleston and there are bargains out there. If you are looking for a starter, executive or waterfront home let me know as I am out showing and previewing homes on a weekly basis and will be glad to remain alert for what you may be looking for.
